Preparing to celebrate Thanksgiving is a great time to reflect on what we are thankful for. I can list so many things, big and small, right down to the hot cup of coffee I’m drinking as I write this. :)
My experience as an official is definitely on that list, especially as I look toward another season registered as a basketball official with the NSAA. What a privilege it is to stay involved in a game I’ve always loved.
I couldn’t do it without the support of my family. My husband, Craig, has held down the fort the nights I’ve been gone and has been a steady shoulder when I’ve needed to vent. My daughters, Maddie and Lauren, have always reminded me of what is most important, regardless of what happens when I’m wearing the stripes.
How about you? For what are you thankful? I’d love to hear about it in the comments of this post!
